Who should pursue a career in Data Analytics?
Individuals who have strong analytical skills
You are likely to approach problems logically and STEM classes were your favorite in school.
College graduates
You would most likely need to have your college degree completed or nearing graduation. To enter this field most majors are acceptable.
People familiar with Statistics
It is important to have some basic understanding of statistics.
Motivated individuals
Having motivation is the key to advancing, changing or starting a career.
Why pursue a career in Data Analytics?
Growing demand on Data Analysts
In order to successfully compete in the markets that constantly generate a huge amount of information, major companies adopted data-driven decision management which requires investments into their analytics departments. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics the number of jobs will increase by 28% by 2026 which is significantly higher than 7.7%, the average across all occupations.
Education in Statistics is not a strict requirement to enter the field
Of course, having a relevant education is always a plus, but because of the high demand many companies are willing to hire individuals who can demonstrate strong Data Analytical skills.
Creating career opportunities by combining your education and experience with Data Analytics
Whether your college major is in STEM, business or social sciences, having practical DA skills would increase your value in the job market and open new opportunities for higher salary and better jobs. If you already have experience, having DA skills combined with the knowledge of your domain would give you an advantage to get that promotion you wanted.
Data Analytics offers many career avenues
While Data Analyst is generally a common job title, there are other related titles such as Business Data Analyst, Market Analyst, Insight Analyst, etc. Each title depends on the industry or the field. There are plenty of opportunities in advancing careers and entering more technical (and high paid) positions such as Data Scientist, Data Engineer, or Big Data Engineer. Depending on the field, managerial positions will also be available to experienced individuals.
Data Analytics jobs are well-paid
According to ziprecruiter.com, the majority of Data Analyst salaries range between $55,756 (25th percentile) to $92,928 (75th percentile) with an average $84,321 in New York. The salary is increased “based on skill level, location and years of experience”.
Data Analysts can work remotely providing more flexibility
A new trend for many employees is to be partly or fully remote. Some companies, such as Google, announced in 2021 that some employees can work in the office for three days per week, while Facebook made some of the jobs remote permanently.

Data Analysis Course Structure
To provide effective and up-to-date training we do three things: we analyze the current market requirements, we consult with our pool of subject matter experts, and we rely on feedback from our students.
Learning Data Analytics includes two main components: concepts and implementation.

Learning concepts provides understanding of what and why we are doing for the analysis
-
The implementation part gives practical skills on how to perform the analysis using software tools
Combined together these two elements allow us to tell a meaningful and engaging story, create insightful reports for management, or answer crucial questions to help in designing effective strategy.
